Dear Members/Interested CSAG Members,

We know that during these unprecedented times during the COVID-19 pandemic, things have had to change and evolve to move forward.

CSAG has been working hard behind the scenes to continue to provide opportunities to members so that they can connect with local artists and musicians. To update you, it’s been several months since we had our AGM (February 25, 2020) and elected a diverse, creative and dedicated Board of Directors. We are hoping to publish the Board of Directors’ names and bios on our website, cowichansouthartsguild.com.

Each month, the board has met via ZOOM to discuss different strategies and proposals to interface and maintain community connections in the South Cowichan Districts of Cobble Hill, Mill Bay and Shawnigan Lake. We are excited to share our directives and direction as we continue to support Visual and Performing Arts.

Our goal during the COVID-19 pandemic is to offer something unique in the way of programming and we are excited to announce we will be producing and promoting recorded Concerts pairing Music and Art in a very creative process.

We will be posting content on our site to view and share. A team of individuals are proposing to record our many creative Performing and Visual Artists from home studios and a partner recording studio donated for this purpose!

We are looking for interested artists and musicians to participate in this event. Both locations will comply with physical distancing and PPE safety Provincial Recommendations. Please contact us through our website if you are interested.

This letter is also being sent to potential new members to ensure they are a part of this exciting way to stay connected virtually and safely during these times. Please go to the site for additional information and as always, your feedback has and will help us deliver essential programs and services based on our Mission Statement (posted on our website) which is always evolving.

While you’re there, please renew your membership for 2020. We are considering other ways of updating the membership list and will give notice in the weeks to come.

We are in the process of vetting our members to be selected for the first phase (August 2020) of what will be posted online and shared to our communities… and the world!

Very best of health to you all, on behalf of the CSAG Board of Directors,
