Part embroidery, part abstract collage, slow stitching combines colours, layers and textures in a meditative process using reclaimed fabrics & adornments to create a unique textile collage art piece. Instructional workshop covers several basic starting stitches, all levels welcome.

Megan Spedding is a Cowichan Valley-based textile artist whose hand stitch work is inspired by nature, ritual, repurposed materials & the raw edges of imperfection. Since 2020, Megan has been exploring this meditative practice, an intuitive form of needlework combining freeform fabric collage with conventional embroidery, and continues to evolve and deeper her practice.
