Richard Garvey is a guitar-strumming, banjo-plucking, and sing-along-starting performer and community organizer. His award winning songs explore the highs and lows of love, injustice, and the marbled mess of the human condition. Whether he’s playing to a living room or an amphitheatre, Richard brings clever songs and a sly sense of humour to inspire solidarity, hope, and change. When you’re looking for the latest incarnation of world-changing, foot-stomping, and heart-filling folk music, see Richard Garvey.

Award-winning singer-songwriter Marina Avros, known for her solo work and performances with the Belle Miners, hails from Vancouver Island. Her music, described as “delightful and genuine” with “memorable melodies” and “one-of-a-kind vocals,” reflects her 14 summers spent immersed in nature as a forest Fire Lookout. Eric Thom of rootsmusic.ca praises her “clear, breathy voice” and unique lyrical style. Marina’s evocative songs and compelling stage presence captivate audiences worldwide.

These two artists are old friends and will back each other up on a few songs. Be sure not to miss this intimate and entertaining evening!
