Come & learn the diversity of this sweet 4 stringed instrument. If you are just beginning, have not played in awhile, or want to improve, this 3 hr workshop is for you! Laurel will guide participants through learning/reviewing the basics and honing their skills & strums for the next level. Cost of the workshop covers a booklet with information & songs for practicing at home. Participants should bring their own ukulele in ‘C’ tuning, for consistency. Introductory Printmaking

In this workshop, techniques will be explored which will allow the participants to enjoy hands on experience with creating their own original handmade relief prints. Participants will experience printing on a couple of different surfaces or plates using colourful, non toxic printing inks. This workshop is suitable for adults & mature teens.

Spotlight Series: Richard Garvey & Marina Avros

Richard Garvey is a guitar-strumming, banjo-plucking, and sing-along-starting performer and community organizer. His award winning songs explore the highs and lows of love, injustice, and the marbled mess of the human condition. Award-winning singer-songwriter Marina Avros, known for her solo work and performances with the Belle Miners, hails from Vancouver Island. Her music has been described as "delightful and genuine" with "memorable melodies" and "one-of-a-kind vocals". Be sure not to miss this intimate and entertaining evening!
