Karen Best
Description/Bio:
Karen Best is a contemporary wildlife and pet portrait artist based in Shawnigan Lake, British Columbia. Working with a mix of coloured pencil, watercolours, and soft pastels, she specializes in creating intimate animal portraits, considering a portrait truly complete only when her subject appears to be staring directly back at the viewer. While her artistic roots trace back to high school art classes, Karen is largely self-taught.
