Participants will use liquid watercolour to play on hot pressed paper. We will explore properties of watercolour paints and how they move on different kinds of paper, then use these understandings to improvise images.
The art of creating beautiful and unique jewelry pieces using paper. Exploring a variety of different types of paper, including recycled paper products, you will learn the technique of rolling the paper into different shapes and sizes creating a variety of unique beads. The beads are then laid out and strung together to design one-of-a kind wearable ART.
Learn how to make a natural Holiday Wreath, on a willow hoop, using freshly foraged greens and decorative materials.
This class will invite you to look inward to explore the ground of curiosity and ease through discussion and meditation, discovering our personal symbology through self-inquiry, collaborating with the natural world. In this space of deep slow relaxation our creativity can blossom. We will use paint, collage, and printmaking to take away an art piece that will offer us meaning and understanding.

These workshops offer opportunities to try something new in an encouraging environment. Each workshop offers a new creative medium to explore in 3-4 hours, with knowledgeable instructors to help guide the process.
Each participant will create their own unique, nature inspired journal out of hand dyed papers and recycled, reclaimed and repurposed materials (some vintage and antique).

We at CSAG have a brand new Songwriter Workshop facilitated by Victoria based folk singer songwriter Claire Coupland on Sat, April 18th, 2026 from 1-4pm at Shawnigan Lake Community Centre.
Participants will forage spring foliage to use in processing prints on paper using a steam and/or immersion method of botanical print making. We will assemble simple, slip knot bound booklets with prepared papers.
